[Blindtlk] Handling a big buffet

Hi,
I know my responses are not indicative of the blind Olympic independence
race but come from occasional illness and bouts of fatigue, so there are
times when I simply have no choice but to allow others to help me. I have,
on many occasions, gotten to know someone better that way. Being totally
independent at all times no matter what, is simply too lonely for me and
impractical, given my other issues.
And my cats understand that. They've never chastised me for letting someone
help. They have always figured out I can't see and they just work around it.
So I enjoy their support and I love supporting them. I think Meow and Purr
are such neat sounds, and cats are so beautifully-built! They are funny
too; they really make me laugh. So I appreciate your catly comments. Pet
your kitties for me.
Thanks
Lauren

I agree totally with what you last said Lauren. It's ok to ask for
help--make it a partnership between you and the staff. Don't be arrogant
blind dude and do it all yourself. Not every situation makes it possible.
When I'm tired I don't care how I get food, I just don't want to cook it.
Can you tell I'm a cat person Lauren? I have two snuggly furballs. One is
13 and the other is 10. They're better behaved than most kids.
