I would like to know what an IPad can do that cannot be done on an IPhone?

Subject: Re: [Blindtlk] Ipad questions

Hi all!
I only have an iPhone. I have a blind friend who has an iPhone, an iPad and an iMac laptop computer. He uses all three of them every day. I understand than an iPad is much like an iPhone but bigger, no phone service and can use apps that are made just for iPads. I know that my next computer will either be a Mac or an iPad. I haven't decided yet. I'm waiting for my old P.C. laptop to die first. If you want an idevice, think about what you want to get out of it first. If you need a phone for example, you would be best off with an iPhone. That's why I got my iPhone in the first place. At the time, my old phone totally kikked the bucket and Varizen didn't have any good upgrade options since they were all in accessable smart phones. I got my iPhone and after I got to know how to use it, I call it the best piece of technology that I have ever owned. If you are looking for a very small computer for work but don't need a phone, an iPad will get the job done. If you are looking for a home computer, a Mac would help you. If you are looking for something small but no phone, an iPod touch will help you.

I think he was suggesting that an iPhone would do pretty much everything you would want with an iPad, so why not get it and have the phone as well. As for me, I’d get the iPad Mini, and I have an iPhone and have had the larger iPad (not the air) and find this mini easier to deal with. My first iPad did not have data time on it; this one does, and that isn’t totally necessary. Also, of course, Sarah may not be on a carrier that does iPhones. Then the iPad would definitely be somewhat important if Sarah wants an iTablet.
