[Blindtlk] NFB app

Why doesn't the blindness organizations like us have an app for iPhone and
android? It might reach more sighted people if we market it right. I"d
love to se a fully accessible app anyhow. Many don't work well with the
talkback feature on the android cells. Could have courtesy to the blind,
blog links, info on the org., etc. Make it useful for businesses trying to
be accessible, parents, etc. A one stop resource app for those who are or
love the blind. Might stop some of the fears of going blind. Who knows
what people read when they can't sleep at night?

Just a thought. What do you guys and gals think>?

I know a number of people who take part. They seem to understand blindness.
I'd rather stay warm.

What's up with Ski for Light? I know someone who goes every year and loves
it. I've not been. I've looked a bit at the announcements and I'm not sure
if it would be a good fit for me...I mean their understanding of blindness.
I'd love to hear people's thoughts and experiences.

Julie

Oh, that is a good idea. Or you can go to Ski for Light where they have a
session on it. Just kidding. I maybe should get the book. I took a couple
last winter that turned o ut OK, but I don't know what I did special. I
haven't taken more because I can't figure any reason to do it.
