[Blindtlk] Illegal Expulsions

I too am unfamiliar with the politics of the Texas affiliate, but I might suggest that this list is not the appropriate place to discuss it. Though our purpose here is in fact to discuss issues surrounding the Federation, discussing what the Texas affiliate or the national board should or should not do year would accomplish nothing. If someone feels that Texas ought to be looked at by the national board for a parent wrong doings there, that person might be better served by contacting the board or the president directly. Just my thoughts.

If a member of the federation conducts himself or herself in a way which is unbecoming to a federationist: (that is to say that if the person attacks personally any officer or member of the federation politically or with the intent of destroying the good name of that person) that individual can be expelled. I am not familiar with what has been going on in Texas, but, frankly, someone made a remark which causes me to think that they believe the national board most likely needs to take a closer look at Texas and perhaps correct some wrong doings there.

Texas is one affiliate that has done this and needs to be held accountable by the national organization for such negligence. A simple check of the current dues paying members of our local chapter could have prevented this from happening. Let that get out in the press and media. No one will want to join an organization with a record of expelling non-renewing members.
