[Blindtlk] unfortunate ending of my court case

Hello Bibi,
It saddens me tremendously to think of what you have been forced to endure.
I certainly do hope you are abel to get some assistance here from boht
blindess organizations and the legal profession in general. Being born
totally blind, I believe that it is high time our legal system find a way to
recognize the validity of evidence presented by a blind person. That is,
rulings should not be based upon sight alone. Cases like yours represent the
worst of the emphasis on eyesight. 
This is also a big problem for blind persons who get hit by cars as
pedestriants. "did you see the driver." The officer who arrives on the sceen
might say. IF the answer is no, then the police don't seem very interested
in the case. I see this as one more example of the behavior of a
hard-hearted society.

Itobviously seemed that way.
Rather annoying despite that the evidence was there, an ambutech fold up
white cane snapped into six pieces.
I'm not sure what to do from here at this point.
I'm going to look into Dvi, (Domestic Violence Initiative) as I know another
blind individual is getting help from that organization to get past her bad
situation.
I'll close right here before I end up having another melt down and I'm
trying to avoid thinking on it.
Am glad I have Odie for support at this time of the night until I can
connect with friends again.
