[Blindtlk] Using Dish Network's app and DVR

Hi list members,
We recently subscribed or switched over to Dish Network after having
been with DirecTV.  Better deal.  One thing I loved about DirecTV was
their app, because I could record shows and control the DVR with the
app.
Does anyone use the Dish Network app on their iPhone, and if so, how
easy is it to use?  What all will I be able to do with it?  Or, what
about the remote itself?
If I can record shows with it, will I be able to either watch those
shows on the iPhone or at least control the DVR with it?
Is anyone willing to write a short tutorial or something along those
lines because I know nothing about this stuff!
