[Blindtlk] A Braille Note Apex Question

Hi All,
  Has anyone here ever tried fixing their own Apex if it stopped working properly? If so were you successful?

  My BN has a problem that  I want to have fixed (it still works to some extent) with the problem.

  Because my warranty is up, it would cost shipping plus an additional $120 roughly just to have HW take a look and then the repairs would probably be a couple hundred at the least more. This is money, that right now, I really can not afford to spend.
