Correct me if I'm wrong, but women are differently vulnerable in a situation 
like this.  I'm not saying that guys can't be deceived,  but men are 
physically bigger and stronger, just by virtue of size, and unless the woman 
has some self defense training that the guy may not have, she differently 
has to watch her back.

Personally, as long as I had a name, I'd go to coffee with the lady whether
she had a photo or not if I liked the profile and what she said over our
time through email.  However, I'm a male who had done wrewtling, grappling,
and a variety of other Martial arts for more than twenty years. I have a
very high level of skill, so I'm safe, However, for the average person, no
name, no picture, no date. If you feel safe without a picture, then just get
him name.  Carry a friend with you to watch if possible.

First, I am a huge advocate for online dating! I meant my now husband in
2010 through match.com. We have been married for three years and have one
daughter. Be very careful though, I think the bigger elephant in the room is
why hasn't he told you his name yet?
