[Blindtlk] Kindle For PC?

For one thing, it's not Google but Amazon. The last I knew, you needed to
download an "accessible" version of the Kindle program. It allowed you to
navigate the menus with your screen reader, and then begin reading a book
with a built-in synthesizer, not using your screen reader. You didn't have
very much control over the reading process. This was several years ago, but
I don't think the situation has changed.

Subject: [Blindtlk] Kindle For PC?

Hello, Folks,

I read Kindle books on my Wine Smart device all the time, but recently
wanted to try Kindle for PC. I downloaded it, but found that I could not
navigate it at all with Jaws. Have you all experienced this? Would love to
hear back from Kindle users, and maybe where I went wrong or what I can do.
I am really hoping this thing is accessible with Jaws, and would be very
surprised if not, Google being Google.

Thanks very much.

Judy
