[Blindtlk] Introducing Myself Plus Notetaker Question

I first became acquainted with the U2 in 2013, but I cannot tell you how
long it has been on the market. HIMS has put out other note takers as well,
but the U2 is the newest and has every tool for social media to players, to
browsers to data apps. Plus a great calendar and calculator.

It is however running on the Windows Mobile platform.

The BrailleNote Touch runs Android, which is most attractive to me, but the
unit I saw was not as sleek and compact as the U2 line of devices.

The U2 has 32 cells, and the Mini has 18, which is what I have. They both
have the 32 GB flash andwork the same. There are more USB ports on the
larger version, and the larger version has dual speakers. But I prefer the
smaller size, and quality is just as good.

Sometimes the company will sell demo or used models at a reduced price, so
again, is good to contact hims.org

Hi Judy,
Thank you so much for your reply.
How many cells is the device from HIMS? Also, do you know about how long it
has been on the market and how frequently they update?
And thank you so much for your suggesttion on contacting the company. I will
do that for sure.

small size, yet it is very robust. This morning on my mini-vacation from
work, I have been on Facebook, and am now listening to a Daisy book while
checking e-mail.

has a 32 GB flash drive and can hold up to a 128 Gb SD card. It also hooks
up seamlessly as a braille display to my various Android phones. Currently I
am using the Wine Smart flip, a phone that is fully functional with all the
latest phone apps, yet has the physical phone buttons along with a touch
screen. I also use the LG V20 that has a better camera, but bigger. I like
the smaller sizes that drop into a pocket or purse. I also use the FB,
Youtube, Kindle, e-mail and several other apps on my phones.

for many people is a braille display you can couple withaPC. Also check into
the Orbit device, I am impressed with it.
