Hi all,
When ACB held their convention in Las Vegas in 2005, I remember that we
asked if we could use braille cards in the casino in our hotel. That was a
definite no. Actually, they told us it would be illegal for us to use
Braille cards.
But the hotel really went to bat for us and got special permission from the
Nevada Gaming Commission for us to arrange a special Texas Holdem tournament
with Braille cards. All participants paid a set amount to enter the
tournament and were given the corresponding amount of chips. WE were, in
this case, allowed to handle the cards.
I didn't do very well in the tournament but it was really cool to have a
fully accessible poker experience in a real casino.
