[Blindtlk] non 24

Hello... I agree with you, and have been completely surprised over what
this advertisement conveys!

I am a night owl, mainly because I have been a professional musician for
over 35 years, so my body is conditioned to be awake later in the evening
than what a normal work schedule would allow. But over the last few months,
I have had several people comment that they now understand why I stay up
later at night, because as a blind person, I wouldn't understand whether it
was day or night outside because it would all be the same to me. Although I
have been polite in my response, my private thoughts have been closer to
"what the heck are they talking about, and just how stupid do they think a
blind person is"! It seems as if political correctness has become applied
to everyone, other than the blind! Folks can believe, and say anything
disrespectful and offensive to us, and it is all OK because blind folks have
so many different challenges in life. Well I don't recall me ever thinking
to myself, "wow, is it day or night? I just can't tell if I should go to
bed, or run a marathon!" LOLL

James

Hi,

I've been hearing commercials about the non 24 drug on the radio and don't
appreciate how it makes blind people sound.
I'm wondering if there are really blind people that don't know when it is
time to sleep or go to work?
The commercials imo make blind people sound like idiots and it's hard enough
to be employed already.
Bryan
