I say download them one at a time as many of the .DLL files etc. may be
different under Windows 10.

Subject: [Blindtlk] Transferring Programs to a New Computer

Hello All:

At long last I took the plunge and bought a new laptop to replace the poor
7-year-old machine I had been using, which had been on its last legs for the
past few months. With this new computer I've upgraded, albeit reluctantly,
to Windows 10, and am slowly but surely making the transition to a new OS.
However, I'm now approaching what seems to be the most arduous task of all:
transferring the programs from my old computer to my new one. Therefore, I'm
wondering what the best way is to transfer these applications from one
computer to another. Is there a way to copy everything over in one foul
swoop, or is it necessary to download each program separately from its Web
site? I have no problem with downloading everything one at a time if
necessary; I'm merely trying to save myself any unneeded time and headaches.
Any information you could provide would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise
expectations for blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you bak.
