[Blindtlk] general accessibility/technology question

Hi there,

Are you referring to links at the very top of the webpage that will say something along the lines of "skip to main content?" If those are what you're referring to, I actually personally like them. They easily bring you past all of the links at the top of the page and bring you straight to the main body of the webpage if the webpage is not marked up very well with headings and such to navigate with. If the website is marked up very well, then they aren't particularly necessary, but I certainly don't mind them.

Although, if this is not what you were referring to buy "skip links," then that may not be useful information for you, so I'm sorry

Thanks very much,

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
