[Blindtlk] Question about Bookshare on the Apex plus another general websites question

Use your Apex where you can, but the default assumption for most websites
today is that scripting is enabled, and the devices that go on the net have
enough processing power and are up-to-date enough to handle this.
I think you could call Bookshare on the phone to renew your membership. But
in my opinion, the devices like the Apex are falling pretty far behind the
curve of internet development.

Subject: [Blindtlk] Question about Bookshare on the Apex plus another
general websites question

Hi all,

I received an email from Bookshare informing me that my account
will terminate in thirty days and therefore I should renew my
membership beforehand. I therefore tried to do that today, using
my Apex, but I ran into a few problems right away. When I first
logged on to the site, I was able to enter my email address and
password, but when I tried to submit my entry, all it displayed
was something like "Character edchfor" and then some numbers that
I don't remember (also least that's how it appeared on the
Braille display). The next time I went onto the site, I enabled
the scripting setting on the Apex, because for some reason I
figured that maybe that might have been the problem. The problem
with that was, it was taking a really long time for the Bookshare
website to load, which I noticed unfortunately tends to happen
frequently when that setting is turned on. I really need to
renew my Bookshare membership, because, I not only use it for
leisurely reading, but I'm also taking an English class in
college where we're required to read different books every week.
So, here are my questions: First, do you know if the scripting
setting is required to be enabled for Bookshare? Second, has it
ever happened to you that when you attempt to enter your login
information, you only get that strange character that I mentioned
earlier?

I also had a general question about accessing the internet on the
Apex. I've noticed for a while that some websites that I visit
frequently seem to be down, because I always get the dreaded
error message: "The page cannot be displayed", when I know for a
fact that they're not down because I can access them on other
devices as well as asking some people if they work for them.
Recently I tried doing a factory settings reset (space with dots
456), but that doesn't seem to solve the problem at all. I also
even tried changing the web browser profile once before which
also didn't work. What could I do to solve this issue?

I really hope you guys can answer my questions, especially
regarding the Bookshare issue.

Thanks and enjoy the start to your semesters,

Sami
