There are USB-to-serial adapters, but I'm not sure what sort of cabling
(null modem, gender changer) would be needed to get from the BNS cable to
the adapter. Some of these adapters only work in Windows 7, and don't work
in Windows 10 because of issues with fake chipsets.

Dave and All:
I never heard that a USB cable was ever made to use with the Braille 'n
Speak. If there is such a cable out there somewhere I would love to hear
about it too. I used to transfer files from the Braille 'n Speak to the
serial port on my desktop computer. Unfortunately it recently died so now I
only have my laptop which only has USB ports.

Dave
My braille and speak is about to die and I cannot
save it without a USB cable to transfer my
files. I do not have the money to replace it
with a new note taker so please help me if you can.
