I know a person on the Antad who has had lots of experience with Alcatel,
and whether he could help you with this, I don't know, but he encourages
anyone to write him about Android things.

I have an alcatel 4044 flip phone.  At first, I thought I liked it a lot,
now, most of us who have it find it quite annoying.  There is a part where
the speech goes blank, so you don't know where you are.  Also, I am not sure

that the words the screenreader says are always what you see on the screen.
Part of it has to do with English being a foreign language for whatever
country makes the phone.  Lots of times, I am told if I don't practically
eat the microphone, people can't hear me.  Also, I can't figure out how to
put ring tones into it.  The phone has a folder that says factory ring
tones, and one underneath that that says my ring tones.  But I can't see the

phone's folders when I try to hook it up to my computer.  The people in the
store don't know.  Pam.

The Alcatel flip phones have a membrane that looks like rubber tiles.  You
can feel that there are buttons underneath when you push on the tiles.  Pam.

One thing I don't like about phones with physical keys is in an
accident, those keys can fall out and won't be easy to find.  Probably a
membrane over physical keys with membrane having concavities to
accommodate physical keys in up positions would take care of that
problem but with the myriad options available in all of these years I've
not read about that one.
