[BlindTlk] Learning Handicraft Skills

I've done both brewing beer and wine making. The skills needed are not much
different than cooking and cleaning. Learning too cook is a solid start to
a lot of other crafts. You'll need to know how to measure, pour, monitor
the food/soap/wine, move things to and from hot surfaces and so on. I'd
double down on the cooking and then branch out to other stuff, or cooking
can be a hobby on it's own!

You can garden in containers. I'd suggest culinary herbs. Some vegetables
can be successful in pots, but they will need pretty big containers. If you
have limited space herbs will work the best.

I have done some woodworking and I don't think it's dangerous. If you are
paying attention to what your doing, don't put your hands where they
shouldn't be, shut off the machine when you're done and generally use some
common sense, it's not all that big of a deal. Sure the potential is there,
but the potential to get hurt is also available with using the garbage
disposal, crossing a street or riding in a car.

To answer your questions:
1. Currently I don't live in a place that allows me to have to have an
outdoor work area.
2. I am more interested in constructing useful things rather than making
art.
3. I am also learning (very slowly) to cook and we are hoping to brew
at some point--that's the closest thing to "art" I would be doing. I'd
like to garden, but that isn't a live option yet.
Thankfully (unfortunately?) I have sighted people to help me out, but
it can be a challenge to figure out adapting their methods for me.
