Yes. There are many PDF converters out there, but if you are running JAWS version 18 and above, you have the functionality of the OCR Optical Character Recognition software installed within it. When I use JAWS, the only thing I do is set focus on the PDF file I need to open, and selecting it but instead of hitting Enter to open, I press Insert+Space, then O to get to the OCR menu, and then F to scan the file. JAWS will start recognising it immediately and reading it. This is especially useful if the PDF in question is an image of text, and not actual text in the file.

This site is an accessibility converter that will do all kinds of files, but you can actually input PDF files into it, and convert them to .TXT, .DOC, and even .HTM.
