[BlindTlk] Taking the plunge on a new TV!

Greetings:

I agree with Judy on the Samsung TV.

I have an apple TV 4K attached and the Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime apps
are accessible.

Also, the TV has voice guidance and you can access the internet (and have
the TV's voice read items to you).

Good luck.

Subject: [BlindTlk] Taking the plunge on a new TV!

Greetings,

I've been wanting to do this for a couple of years, but I think it is
finally time.

I'm looking for a good TV that is accessible to a blind person, in other
words, one that has some voice guidance features.

I'm probably going to get rid of my Dish Network, so I want one that can
support apps like Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming services, while still
allowing me to watch local channels and maybe also hook up an Apple TV to
it.

I'm probably going to look at Best Buy as my first option, since I can get
the Geeks to actually come set it up, which would be great.

Finally, I may subscribe to YouTube TV, but I'm not sure yet.

All of this has to be cheaper than what I'm paying Dish right now.

I'll be wanting a 40 inch TV, as that will fit my living room.

Oh, I also have an older Bose system that could connect to the TV, if the TV
will allow.

What do people have right now, and what are good brands? The last TV I
bought was in 2009, and it is a Sony, but no accessibility features. Thanks
for your feedback.

Jim
