I thought it was written very well.

Back in the day when I was looking for jobs, I always downplayed my visual
impairment, making it secondary. I found that if I didn't make a big deal
out of it, the employer didn't either. At the same time, I let the
interviewer know that I was completely open and comfortable with answering
any questions regarding the job, how I would independently navigate the work
place, and how I would perform the tasks expected of me, even talking a
little about how I lost my vision if they wondered. One thing I always made
sure to tell them was if there was something I couldn't do, I would let them
know, as honesty is always paramount, as you want to make sure to get off on
the right foot.

This seemed to put the employer at ease and made for a better interview all
the way around..

Hey guys,
I recently wrote a blog post about how to discuss blindness as an advantage
during the job search, and thought someone might find it useful. Let me know
what you think!

ss-in-the-job-search

All the best,
Shane.
