Dear Danielle,

I'm wondering, which browser are you using? Which version of NVDA?

I am finding that when using NVDA with Firefox, the "basic HTML View" button
does not appear at all. Weird thing is that I can actually see it with JAWS,
but not NVDA. I find a better experience with finding that Basic HTML button
with Chrome and even Edge. At least, for me, it is the case.
But once you can figure out the button, once you are already in Basic HTML
View, there should be a link that says, "Use Basic HTML as my default view"
or something. That should take care of that problem where Basic HTML is not
sticking permanently.

I am so annoyed right now. How do I keep Gmail from switching back to
Standard view? I am using NVDA and the button you have to click on for Basic
HTML View does not stay at the top of the page. At one time I just set it
and forgot it! Now for some reason it is not sticking. Is there some other
seetting I need to change to achieve this?
