I have had this same issue.  What has happened in my case is that if I use VoiceDream Scanner, the same thing reads fine.  If I then check to see if Seeing-AI still gives no results, I find that Seeing-AI then works after trying VoiceDream Scanner.  I can't reproduce this reliably so have not tried to report this, and I don't know if this might be what is happening to you or not.  However, my conclusion is that there are times when Seeing-AI is not initializing the camera or possibly not turning on the flashlight.  It might have to do with something I ran previously.  

My suggestion is to try running another OCR app to see if it resolves the issue and then check to see if Seeing-AI starts working.  I find that I get better results with VoiceDream Scanner on packages than I do with Seeing-AI, but there is a cost.  SuperSense is free at least for a demo, so that may also resolve the issue.  I will be curious to find out if any of this helps.

Hi all. I've always had good results with seeing capital AI, especially for reading directions on boxes. I've tried six times and I can't get it to read anything. Anyone else having trouble? It's trying to scan and it says sorry timed out please try again later. You're annoying when I'm trying to make a birthday cake and I'm on a time crunch.
