The best bet will be to ask the particular cable companies under
consideration since you don't want to spend money on a cable box then
discover you bought a model and/or brand incompatible with the cable
carrier you selected. Many areas have no choice as to cable carrier in
the United states at least.
If you get someone who claims to be a technician and goes clueless as soon
as you mention accessibility, it's time to get their supervisor on the
phone and maybe get to the real technical department.
