This is correct. In addition, I highly recommend the free and accessible 
VLC media player as a default player for windows and mac. It is a very 
versatile player and in my opinion, comes almost close to what I used to 
have with winamp. It will certainly play the m4a formatted files including 
lots of other video files as well.
