Hi, Pam,

The point of view below is distorted, malware is a danger in Appleworld as well as Android, also Windows, you name it, it’s the world we live in if you are going to be online, and one has to use some common sense and precautions no matter what device you use.  It’s just the world we live in now days.

If I could find another device like the Galaxy Folder 2 that would take all my programs onto a phone with physical buttons, I would get it.  I had to retire my Folder 2, due to upgraded towers, same with my Wine Smart from LG, but those were great Android phones with the best of everything a phone should have.

The google playstore is under heavy sustained attacks by malware packagers

and google is playing whackamole with those packagers.  For that reason

I'm not recommending android as an operating system platform for future

phones and tablets.

The only way I would make an exception for android is if when a malware

attack was successful on your phone you could take it to a local store and

trade it for a replacement phone and the original phone would go to cyber

investigators to diagnose the malware so they could learn what you failed

to do or what you did to get the malware originally.  Such exchanges ought

to be at no cost for the consumer either since those local stores and the

large companies behind them aren't exactly close to bankruptcy these days.
