Not true for me. I worked for 38 years and was always concerned about how I dressed. We did have a  couple of sighted co workers who didn't care about how they looked or having good hygiene. When I first retired, there were days where I didn't get dressed especially if the weather was bad. I do have a dog to take care of, so, once I found things to do like yoga, volunteering at our local cat shelter, going to our local senior center and knitting at my friend's house, that all changed. I always took showers even though I didn't have anywhere to go.
