Hello fellow Influencers: Thank you for agreeing to help discuss and
register your networks for the March for Independence to support the Imagination
Fund. Below is a draft/sample e-mail that you can send to your networks. As
with anything else follow up is the key. We have set our goal at 1000
registrants by the beginning of the year. We have a lot of work ahead, but you all
have been asked because we need influencial people like you on the team, we
know you can do this! If you have any questions, let me know. I'll be
following up next week to see how everyone is doing.

Thank you!

Kristi

DRAFT - Please personalize and change as desired.

Hello All:

I wanted to write to you to discuss my participation in the Imagination Fund
and the March for Independence. The Imagination Fund benefits all of the
members of the National Federation of the Blind. All monies raised in the
Imagination Fund go directly to support our chapters, our affiliates, and our
NFB Jernigan Institute. The March for Independence is a 5K walk-a-thon event
held each year in conjunction with our national convention. The monies raised
through the march/walk-a-thon go directly to the Imagination Fund.

I am absolutely committed to the March for Independence because I feel very
strongly that as a result of the money raised, I am helping to change what it
means to be blind in a very big way. We all participate in local outreach
efforts which are hugely important to our cause, but by helping to raise money
by walking or virtually walking, I believe I am helping in a bigger way. I
am giving back just a little time for the opportunity, the security, and the
independence that the NFB has helped me to achieve.

Partner with me. Register for the march right now. Become a champion for
the March for Independence, for our movement. When I was asked, I couldn't
say no, I hope you won't either.

Thanks in advance for your participation.
