After much prodding from CPT. Castro, the Air  Force Marathon opened up a 
running category for the visually  impaired!

REGISTRATION  IS NOW OPEN FOR THE 2009 USAF MARATHON


 
The 2009 USAF Marathon  will be held on September 19, 2009 at  
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (Dayton, Ohio). The marathon program will  include 4 
race lengths: 5K, 10K, half-marathon and full marathon. The full  marathon will 
include a category for athletes with a visual  impairment.
 

 
Special note for guide  runners: According to the USAF Marathon Office, 
guide runner fees will be  wiaved, however they will need to register through 
the downloaded form rather  than the online form. For additional infomation, 
consult the race website or  contact the USAF Marathon Office at
