A little piece of me wants to ask her what the hell she was thinking, but
maybe I don't want to know. I suppose dropping it is the best thing, and
I've prayed for her ever since we quit speaking because she's going to end
up lonely if she treats all of her friends the way she has treated me.

It is easy--terribly easy--to shake a man's faith in himself. To take
advantage of that to break a man's spirit is devil's work. Take care of what
you are doing. Take care.--George Bernard Shaw in "Candide"
