[blparent] What kind of stove do yuou have?

Oh, I absolutely love my flat top stove! I am totally blind and can use it
with no problem at all. It is a little smoother where the burners are, so I
feel for the burner when the stove is cool, put the pot on, and turn the
burner on. Clean up is so easy! As long as the stove has buttons you can
feel, as mine does, or can be marked with Braille, you shouldn't have a
problem. You do want to make sure that the oven always starts at the same
temperature when you turn it on. Mine is always on 350, and then I just
press the up or down arrow and each time it beeps the temp has gone up or
down by 5 degrees. My friends had a stove once that always started at the
last setting they had it on. This was a pain because they always had to try
to remember how hot they had had the oven the last time they used it.
Just some thoughts.
Melissa

I know this is not a blind parent topic, per say, but I am looking to buy a
new stove and am finding that they are all flat tops (no burners) and am
getting stressed out. Aaaah! V
