Exactly.
Plus, they learn how to be away from mom and/or dad, how to get up, and
be someplace, and how to wrap up activities and come home.

Hi,
Are you kidding? What do they learn in 2 an a half hours? Tons,
absolutely tons! My son only goes to preschool 3 days a week for two
and a half hours each day, and what a difference it has made to his
life. He learns how to interact with others his own age, learns about
sharing, waiting his turn, new songs and games that he brings home and
teaches us, music, art, the alphebet, shapes, colours and counting which
he can do in three different languages, and he already says please and
thank you so they don't need to work with him on that.
As for starting to learn with mom and dad, that starts the day they're
born or at least it should. If you start teaching them things at 5
you've really missed the boat, and keeping them home from kindergarten
will only serve to hurt their learning potential further.

Tamy
