My one bit of advice is to just patiently answer their questions. They will
probably ask some that are out of line and its up to you how you handle
them. I chose to just answer them.
We ended up going international because it is quite difficult to adopt
domestically. If it is a private agency you may have more luck than you
might with the state.
It's usually a long process so try not to get discouraged. If it's an
agency that does open adoptions remember that most people are afraid of
blindness so may not want to put their child in that situation.
Just be honest and straightforwardd and keep us posted on how things are
going.
