For playdough and minimizing a mess, have him play with it ona paper
plate or a cookie sheet that you can wash.

Subject: [blparent] Gift Suggestions for an 8-year-old?
Hi all,
I'm Christmas gift shopping for my boyfriend's little boy and thought
I'd
ask you guys for some suggestions. Nathaniel is 8-years-old and in
second
grade. He's sighted and I'm blind. I've bought him a couple of
accessible
games and he has really liked them. I got him the Freeze-Up talking
category game from Amazon and Braille Uno from the NFB "Independence
Market.
I also got him Play-Dough that he loved and his dad hated because of the
mess. LOL. Does anyone have any other suggestions for fun things for
the
little guy and I to do together?
I posted a while back about accessible computer or Wii games, but I only
got
a couple responses. So I guess that means there really isn't much out
there? So in this message I'm asking for any recommendations for
accessible
toys or games of any kind.
Thanks in advance,
Allison
