[blparent] question

We bought two sets of the plastic panels that can be configured into many
different shapes. First we made the gates into a pen around the
cocgcouchwith the two ends bungy chorded to the couch legs. Then as my sons
learned to climb the gates we used them to create a boundary around the
computer desk and the pellet stove so that the boys had a clear boundary to
stay out of. 10 years later we just folded them up and stored them away
before we post them on free cycle. We didn't have a living room that lent
itself to being gated off.

I special ordered a gate from ToysRUs.com that would stretch to sixty
inches. It's hard to find gates that wide, and the one I got is a mesh gate

with tube bars on the top and bottom. I have to step over it every time
because I couldn't find one that opened on hinges and was wide enough. But
it does work great to block off a five-foot doorway.
