[blparent] Twin Vision Books

Gee, I hadn't thought of NLS. I'll give them a call and see. I find that I
still love to read children's books as an adult, so I may borrow some for
myself. Sometimes, when Deven sees us doing something by ourselves, he's
inspired to insert himself into what we're doing and wants to be included.
Maybe that will happen if the reads are interesting enough.

I didn't think of that resource, with all the audio books on CD now and
such.

Ronda,

Your local library for the blind will have twin vision books that you could
borrow. The same NLS library that sends talking books and such. This may
be a good solution for you if you're not sure whether Deven will want to
read the books. I can understand not wanting to spend money on stuff that
he may not read. It's unfortunate that
Braille books cost so much more than regular print ones. Anyway, you could
call up your local library and ask what they have. They may not have
anything Deven will be interested in, but you could at least call and check
out what they have.

HTH,
Allison
