[blparent] Working outside or in the home

Hi, Sharon. Your note made me think. You also have to consider your own
temperament and personality. My mother stayed home with my brother and
sister and me when we were growing up because that was what most women did
at the time. She didn't seem happy, didn't seem challenged enough. She
went back to work when I was in high school, and I saw a real change in her
as she got out into the world and proved what she was really capable of.
Some people are happy staying home, raising kids, and filling their lives
with their vocations. Some are not, and trying to fit into the stay-at-home
mom mold just because it seems like the right thing to do won't be good for
a woman or her kids at all.
