That is so scarey!  I never thought about kids living on a second story and
pushing out the screen.  Is there some way you could lock the window so it
only opens up part way?  When we were kids, my dad put a nail in the sliding
glass door to keep anyone from opening it.  Before we could open it, we had
to take the nail out.  He put the nail up high so little fingers couldn't
just pull it out.  I believe you can also buy  kits with a peg for windows
and doors. V
