Hi,
I've actually had the experience of being reported to child services for
supposedly molesting my son. It was a ridiculous waste of child service's
time and waste of a diaper because I made her come in and watch me change
Colyn. But she wasn't really there to investigate me, she said she had come
to tell me that this is what had been reported, and asked me if I knew about
it. The woman who reported me was one of those old busy body types, and she
watched me the whole time I was changing Colyn on one of those fold out
change tables in the bathroom at the mall. She just couldn't believe that I
could have children, and pointed out where she thought I would have trouble,
and she told me that she thought I was touching my son's genetils too much
for just cleaning them. I told her that it wasn't too much that if she had
to close her eyes and change a diaper she'd probably have to feel around to
make sure he was clean.
I've only had somebody question me one time about this subject and it was no
big deal. The social workers were helpful for a change, and you honestly do
not have to worry about any of this. Just change your baby the way you know
how, and be confidentin your abilities as a parent. I did not tell this
story to make people afraid of changing their children's diapers, I told it
to let people know that social workjers, while they can ge obnoxious and
annoying, can also be helpful and use discression sometimes.
