[blparent] formula

Yes, because the metal in the can oxidizes.
When our daughter was on formula, we'd blend the powder and water
together and store it in the fridge.
It worked well.
Our peditritian told us formula has the same shelf-life as milk, and
that the directions on the packaging are conservative.
If you have a Costco near you, I'd highly suggest a membership. That
place pays for itself in terms of formula, diapers and wipes.
Also, their meat is great and Costco is great entertainment for a baby.

have you considered buying a pitcher to use just for the formula? open
the can and pour into the wider mouthed pitcher. and then you could pour
easily from the spout of the pitcher. i've heard of mom's making up the
powdered formula and putting a days worth in the fridge, so you should
be able to do this with the liquid also.
this could just be one of those old wive's tales or may not apply to
formula, but with things like canned juice or canned dog food, i was
always told to remove all contents from the can before storing. i was
told it wasn't safe to store in the can.
