Oh, thank you, I couldn't remember the name, Ann of Green Gables.  I've been
wanting to get those books. Smile! V

And sometimes when they are sitting but jumpy, read an abbreviated version
of the story.  Especially if you know what the pictures are, you could just
talk about the pictures.
My kids never sit for stories but we've read all the Little House books and
the Anne of Green Gables books.  Sometimes they just like to play and listen
to your voice.  When you're reading to them, they know that they have your
attention--sort of.
