Hear, hear! I had a stay at home mom and we did without a lot and now as
long as I can and as long as my hubby has a good job, I can stay home and be
here for Gab.  I put her on the bus, volunteer at her school, make
arrangements for my mom, clean, cook, socialize with my friends, be here
when Gab gets home  and I don't know if I have time,  if I had to work out
of the house even if I could find a paying job. V

I do the same as Pipi, though I'm actually taking a break right now because 
I want the time for my own daughter.  I do think it has a lot to do with 
personal preference.  I know moms at my church who say they just couldn't 
stand to stay home every day.  They say that they need to get out and have 
time away, and going to work gives them that.  I don't like to leave my 
kids.  Even when my older 2 go to their grandparents' house for the weekend 
I miss having them around.  Sure I go out with friends now and then for a 
breather, but I don't like to be gone very long.  I like being with my kids 
as much as possible.  We do without a lot so I can stay home, but that's ok 
with me.  I grew up in a house with a single mother who worked 9 to 5 every 
day, so I wonder if that has something to do with my choices.
