Hi,

They're *only* for feeding in the beginning, that's what they're meant for. 
Once you feed thicker foods they won't work.  I don't know about anybody 
else's baby, but mine is so busy trying to learn the inner workings of his 
own mouth and how different foods taste, he couldn't care less where the 
food comes from right now.  All I care about is that eating isn't a 
stressful time for anybody, and the boon spoon makes that a reality.  There 
will be lots of time for him to see and learn how to eat with a spoon, and 
I'm not worried about it right now.
