[blparent] Car Seats?

It is legal to use a carseat without a base. For example, my car, a Mustang
GT, is too short for someone to use a base in. If you put the base in, you
cannot put the carseat in because it hits the ceiling. I know many people
who do not use a base and that's that. You could also call your local
police dept or local hospital and see what they recommend in those
situations. V

Hmm, it may be safe, but is it legal? I thought you had to have a car seat
inspected by the local fire department. We're going through the same thing,
trying to figure out what to use. I'm sighted, so, obviously, we do have one
car, which we'll have a base in. But my wife travels with different people
all the time, so we're not sure what to do about that.
