Don't know about potatoes or cucumbers, but I have a great apple corer and
slicer I bought from Pampered Chef. You just center the hole over the core
and press down and wala, 8 slices and no core. V

Subject: [blparent] question, hopefully not off-topic
Hi.
As a blind parent, I have a food preparation question that I hope isn't
off-topic.
How do you guys cut vegetables so that they are straight and even? Mine
always seem to be crooked when I slice them, especially rounded vegetables
like cucumbers and potatoes. Is there a device that I could purchase that
would aid in the even distribution of slicing?
Thanks for the help.
Scott
