[blparent] Fw: [blindkid] URGENT $12650 grant, girl, orphan, blind, 3/9 adoption deadline, Asia

I'm not sure we want to know what happens to children who age out. I'm
fairly certain in Russia they're on the street but I don't know about China.
You must understand that the Chinese don't understand why anyone would want
their blind children. This child must be in a foster home with caretakers
who foot the bill for her education. If I remember correctly, the
government does not pay for a blind child's education. If they attend a
school the parent or guardian must pay. Now I could be wrong about all this
because it's just from my limited knowledge. But having adopted from China
I can tell you they don't list blind children on their list of special needs
children available for adoption. Not that we're interested but I'm
wondering if dossiers remain in play? If not, that sure limits the
possibilities, too. You'd have to be in the process right now.
Barbara

A Congress that will always do its work in the dark must have something to
hide. The people have spoken, yet they do not listen.
