[blparent] It really happens

It really bugged Gab. She kept bringing it up to that little girl. I
finally told her to drop it and move on. I then explained to her that not
all people understand blindness and not all want to learn. I would have
talked to that dad in a heart beat, but the little girl was deadest against
it. I really don't know why someone wouldn't let her play with us, our ball
was as light as a feather and if it happened to hit me, it wouldn't have
hurt. Of course maybe the dad didn't know or care. V

That's so sad. Beyond the pure insanity of not letting your child play with

someone just because she's blind, and the way it made you feel, what that
man was teaching his little girl is that you don't want to interact with
people who are different from you. That's not what we need in this world.
Chalk it up to "you can't fix stupid" and move on.
