My husband likes purple... :-) I good-naturedly tease him, but honestly it doesn't bug me. I was a little shocked when I found out, but come on. :-) I figure, it's just a color, or toy or whatever the case may be.

Corban my son has a kitchen set... a shopping cart... play food, and he
loves them! ...
He'd be 2 next month.
He cooks at his little kitchen, when I cook meals... he pretends to shop and
uses his cash register, to check his food out... and says...
"MOMMY MONEY PLEASE!"
So, yes, its appropriate.
Society drivin people annoy me... they judge little children, and my son
likes purple, and many say he'll be Gay.
So, good job!...

V, I think your gift was acceptable. This is just my opinion, but our
culture tries to overly categorize toys or activities for children and even
adults. It's ok for boys to play with dolls and girls to play with trucks
and cars.
