[blparent] a new school

It's just a matter of biting the bullet and untying the apron strings a
little. I'm having a hard time thinking of sending Sarah to a preschool and
not being there to know everything that happens--but she's ready for it, and
part of mothering is letting go. And we're sending Gerald's oldest
daughter, Erica, off to college four hundred miles away next week, and poor
dad is having a super hard time with that!

unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into
advance."--Franklin D. Roosevelt
