[blparent] school teacher issue

He's already involved. That's the problem here.
I'm seeking my independence, trying to get away from relying on him so much.
It gets hard living with him.
It kind of feels like he's taken over.
My son needs a daddy and not a grandpa, in this sense.
Ugh! My situation boils down to the fact that I need to move out of my
parents house.

So ask the teacher. Even if he/she can't, he/she has access to a secretary.
Time to make use of that person.

Also, I'd be curious as to your dad's perspective. I'd try to find out what
that's about. Might this be his way of wanting to be involved? Not that you
should agree to it, but you'd do well to find out his perspective.

        Hi everyone.
Yes, I am back.
Looking for insight, wisdom, experience.

I have a little boy going into the first grade on Wednesday, but Monday is a
“meet and greet the teacher.”
Now, When his Kindergarten teacher would send papers home, I could not read
them.
I had an idea that would help. The teacher could email them to me.
I live with my parents and I told my idea to my dad and he said that might
be too much work for a teacher to do for someone who has the kind of need
that I have.
I mean, I’m looking for independence. I don’t want my dad to have to read
the papers that come home.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
I want to be able to ask the teacher when I meet her on Monday.
Thanks for all your help and God bless you.
Nikki
